With all the books, films, and website content about the Holocaust, choosing the right resource for classroom use can be difficult. These classroom book and video lists provide examples for the secondary school level that meet the Museum’s rubric criteria. Suggested grade levels are provided. These lists include diaries, memoirs, literature, graphic novels, and films. They are not intended to be comprehensive.
This rubric (PDF) guides educators in selecting age-appropriate and historically accurate books. Educators are encouraged to evaluate the resource options in the book and video lists with the rubric to assess how the resource fits their classroom needs.
