Broadening Academia Initiative

Research Support for Scholars

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies is pleased to announce the launch of a new initiative to support research about the Holocaust by North American-based Holocaust scholars who are untenured, contingent, or working outside of academia. Scholars must have earned a Ph.D. in a discipline relevant to Holocaust studies and be engaged in original research.

Along with the five programs below, the BAI supports two postdoctoral fellowships: the American University and Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies Postdoctoral Fellowship and the Postdoctoral Fellowship in Public History

All BAI programs are made possible by the generous support of The Marcus Foundation.

Please monitor this webpage for new programs and announcements. For more information or inquiries, please email BAI@ushmm.org.
