The Museum is Open

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies organizes four endowed lectures every year featuring the world’s leading Holocaust scholars. Watch or listen to recordings of past Museum lectures and learn more about upcoming lectures below.

  • Enables the Mandel Center to bring a distinguished scholar to the Museum each year in order to conduct innovative research on the Holocaust and to disseminate this work to the public

  • Endowed by the Meyerhoff family in 1994 to honor excellence in research and foster dissemination of scholarly work in Holocaust Studies

  • Honors Holocaust survivors and their fates, experiences, and accomplishments

  • These 20-minute lectures feature renowned scholars from Holocaust studies and beyond. In the lectures, scholars discuss primary sources that illuminate topics using photographs, propaganda, diaries, short films, and artwork drawn from the Museum’s vast collection and other sources.
