The Regional Programming Initiative offers panel discussions and roundtables to build on Holocaust knowledge and open discussion to develop strategies and tools for teaching in the classroom.
Panel Discussion
By looking at the Holocaust alongside related historical experiences, panel discussions analyze how racially motivated persecution, removal, and “othering” affected minority groups in Europe and the United States. Drawing on the Museum’s staff and affiliated experts, as well as local scholars from a specific campus or region, our topics build on interdisciplinary scholarship related to the field of Holocaust studies and local persecution histories in North America.
Pedagogy Roundtable
Using the Holocaust as a key point of discussion alongside other related topics, Pedagogy Roundtables bring together college and university faculty from various disciplines and institutions to discuss the trials, successes, and strategies for addressing these challenging topics and themes in the classroom. The roundtables also showcase Museum resources and tools for teaching about the Holocaust.
