The Museum is Open

In the event of a government shutdown, our Museum will remain open to the public through at least December 24, 2024. More information about visiting the Museum can be found on Plan Your Visit.

Founders Society

The Founders Society recognizes donors who have taken their cumulative commitment to the exceptional level of $1 million and above to strengthen the Museum’s ongoing efforts to teach the lessons of the Holocaust; confront hatred, antisemitism, and Holocaust denial; and prevent genocide.

In recognition of their extraordinary investment in the Museum, Founders Society members who have provided $1 million in gifts are honored with a permanent engraving in a prominent location in the Museum. Those donors who choose to defer their gift of $1 million will ultimately have their names engraved in perpetuity when the funds are received by the Museum. These Legacy of Light Founders enjoy all other benefits of the Founders Society during their lifetime.

Founders Society members who support the Museum with larger gifts are recognized with an engraving inside the Museum’s entrance.
