Artifacts Unpacked Video Series

Lea Herlinger and her family tried to stay undetected by the Nazis after fleeing Yugoslavia. While they moved between hiding places, Lea’s father, Ivo, used his beloved Leica camera to capture their life on the run.

Artifacts shown in the video were donated to the Museum by Allan and Lea Kaluzna. Learn more about the camera and the Herlinger family. The interview of Lea Kaluzna is from the archive of the USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education.
