Honoring Peter Fine and Sigal Mandelker

In these troubling times, amid the continuing surge in antisemitism—tragically including deadly violence—our community stands together to advance the Museum’s critical mission.

Join us in honoring Peter Fine and Sigal Mandelker for their long-standing support of the Museum, and learn how we are combating dangerous conspiracy theories and Holocaust distortion, inspiring new generations to confront antisemitism today.

Honorees

  • Peter Fine

Peter Fine became involved with the Museum in 2018 through its New York Real Estate Luncheon. Since then, he has become a dedicated supporter of its work in the northeast community, eventually serving as chair of the 2024 Northeast Tribute Dinner.

A lifelong New Yorker and the child of an immigrant cab driver, Peter grew up in public housing and began his professional life as a social worker. He then served as assistant executive director of the Educational Alliance before transitioning to a career in real estate. An industry leader in affordable and workforce housing, Peter is the founder and chief executive officer of Atlantic Development Group and its successor company, Bolivar Development.

Outside of his involvement with the Museum, Peter is a committed philanthropist to Jewish and community organizations. Over the last 20 years, Peter has also been a dedicated supporter of the arts. As an investor and producer of theater and film, his credits include Lin Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning In The Heights and the documentary Four Winters, which tells the stories of partisan fighters and their resistance in the face of the Nazi regime.

  • Sigal Mandelker

As the daughter of Holocaust survivors and a former member of the Museum’s presidentially appointed governing council, Sigal Mandelker has devoted her life to tikkun olam, the Jewish principle of taking action to improve the world. She has worked tirelessly to advance Holocaust memory and education and has engaged extensively in public service.

In 2019, Sigal delivered the powerful keynote address at the Museum’s National Days of Remembrance Ceremony at the US Capitol. As an active member of the Museum’s executive committee, she co-led a special committee to address the eruption of antisemitism and Holocaust denial in the aftermath of the horrific Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Most recently, she represented the Museum as a member of its delegation to the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, attended by heads of state from all over the world. As the Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, Sigal served as a key partner to the Museum. Her vast professional expertise as well as her family history informed her work on the Museum council.

Following her public service, Sigal joined Ribbit Capital in 2020. She previously held several other senior positions in the US government and as a partner at Proskauer Rose.
