United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Outraged at German Synagogue Attack

WASHINGTON, DC – The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is outraged and horrified at yet another attack on Jews and a Jewish place of worship, this time in Germany, and on the holiest day on the Jewish calendar. This is part of a growing trend of violence against Jews in Europe and the United States that should alarm all concerned citizens.

“This shocking incident is hardly an isolated one. Complacency is not an option. The Holocaust is a not too distant reminder of the dangers of unchecked antisemitism, and Germany has a special responsibility to confront it boldly and set an example for the rest of Europe,” says Museum director Sara J. Bloomfield.
